At VexRank, we stand behind our AI-powered SEO platform and want you to feel confident in your investment. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are provided for our subscription services. We designed this policy to be fair to both you and our business.
1. Refund Eligibility
Monthly Subscriptions
All monthly subscriptions (Starter, Pro, and Agency plans) are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not exceeded the plan's core usage limits. We believe in letting you try VexRank with confidence.
Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are eligible for a prorated refund within 30 days of purchase. The refund amount is calculated based on the unused portion of the subscription period, minus the monthly equivalent rate for any months already used.
Free Plan
The Free plan is, of course, free. No refunds apply. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time, and billing adjustments will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
2. What Qualifies for a Refund
Service Unavailability
If VexRank experiences significant downtime (less than 99% uptime in a given month) that directly impacts your ability to use the service, you are eligible for a service credit or full refund for the affected period.
Feature Not Working as Advertised
If a core feature (SEO audit, keyword research, content optimization, rank tracking, or backlink analysis) consistently fails to function as described in our documentation, and our support team cannot resolve the issue within 5 business days, you qualify for a refund.
Duplicate Charges
If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times for the same subscription, we will refund the duplicate charge immediately upon notification.
Accidental Upgrade
If you accidentally upgraded to a paid plan and request cancellation within 48 hours, we will issue a full refund regardless of usage.
3. What Does NOT Qualify for a Refund
Change of Mind After 14 Days
Refunds requested more than 14 days after the initial purchase (30 days for annual plans) are not eligible. We encourage you to use the Free plan to thoroughly evaluate VexRank before upgrading.
Exceeded Usage Limits
If you have already consumed the full allocation of your plan's core resources (e.g., all 100 article optimizations on the Pro plan, or all site audits for the month), refunds are not available for that billing cycle. You may still cancel to prevent future charges.
Ranking Results
SEO rankings depend on many factors beyond our control — search engine algorithm changes, competitor activity, and existing site authority. We do not guarantee specific ranking improvements, and refunds cannot be issued solely because rankings did not improve as expected.
Violation of Terms of Service
Accounts suspended or terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service, including abuse of our AI systems, scraping, or using VexRank for black-hat SEO practices, are not eligible for refunds.
Third-Party Costs
VexRank is not responsible for costs associated with third-party services you integrate with our platform (e.g., domain registration, separate hosting).
4. How to Request a Refund
Step 1: Contact Support
Email our support team at support@vexrank.com with the subject line "Refund Request - [Your Account Email]". Include your order/invoice reference and a brief explanation of your reason for the refund.
Step 2: Review Process
Our team will review your refund request within 2 business days. We may reach out to gather additional information or attempt to resolve any technical issues you encountered.
Step 3: Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days after approval. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used during purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated.
5. Cancellation Policy
How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing settings page in the VexRank dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing — you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
No Long-Term Commitment
All VexRank plans are pay-as-you-go. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel, pause, or switch plans at any time without penalty.
Data After Cancellation
After cancellation, your SEO reports and historical data remain accessible for 30 days. After this period, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems. We recommend exporting any reports you wish to keep before canceling.
6. Chargebacks & Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or payment provider, your VexRank account will be immediately suspended pending investigation. We encourage you to contact our support team first to resolve any billing concerns — we are committed to fair resolutions. Chargeback disputes are subject to a $25 administrative processing fee if resolved in our favor.
7. Plan Downgrades
Downgrading from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You retain full access to your current plan's features until the cycle ends. Downgrades do not trigger automatic refunds for the current cycle's price difference, but you can contact support if you believe an exception is warranted.
